Master Andy DeJesus

Andy DeJesus III has been training in the martial arts for over 25 years. He is a 5th Dan Black Belt Master in Tae Kwon Do, a Brown Belt in Modern Arnis and 4 Stripe Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

He has been fortunate enough to train with the best instructors in the world. His father Master Angel DeJesus, is a 7th Dan Black Belt and started Andy in Tae Kwon Do at the age of six. Andy currently is continuing the work of his fathers instructor Grand Master James B.C. Yu as the owner and head instructor of Ann Arbor Martial Arts. (Formerly B.C. Yu Martial Arts Center)

His Arnis Professor is Chuck Guass, one of only seven students in the world to earn the rank of Master of Tappi Tappi under Remy Pressas.

Andy started training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu back when the only black belts were in California or Brazil. His current Jiu Jitsu professor is Ryan Fiorenzi, the first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in Michigan. He has also trained in classes or seminars with all of the Machado Brothers (Carlos, Roger, Rigan, Jean Jacques, and John) Royce and Relson Gracie, Rico Chiparelli, John Donahue, Paulo Guillobel, former UFC Champions Ricco Rodriguez and Pat Millitech, Chris Hauter, Tyrone Gooden, Jamel McCurry and other notable grapplers.
