Children

Parents, give your child the gifts of confidence, discipline and fitness.

Master Andy DeJesus at a Tournament

Growing up today is tough. In our instant gratification culture, it can be hard to teach kids that patience and perseverance are qualities that will help them succeed . Traditional Martial Arts is great at teaching these principles. Unlike team sports where some children are forced to sit out because of a lack of skill. Martial Arts has a place for students of all levels and abilities.

Our children’s program is designed with both parents and kids in mind. For parents we teach discipline, control and many important life skills. For kids we make sure every class is fun and exciting. We keep class moving to hold their attention as well to help your child remain physically fit and improve their level of fitness. But, best of all, your child’s classes will help them learn many of life’s lessons.

Questions your child will work through in classes daily.

  • How do you react when things get challenging?
  • How do you work with someone who is of much higher or lower ability than yourself?
  • How can we learn from the mistakes of others so we do not repeat them?
  • How do we handle our fears, emotions, and impulses?

Reinforce what your teaching your children at home.

Memory, Discipline and Self-Control

Our program teaches many of the same values you are teaching your child at home  Every class starts with the 5 Tenets of Tae Kwon Do.  Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit.  We finish class by discussing the meaning of a tenet and more importantly how we can apply it to our life.  Students are not allowed to advance to the next level unless they receive permission from there school teacher as well as their parents. will be consistently reinforced in our classes.
